She had a stomach condition and it was very scary. We went to visit her, and after her surgery, she was so fun to be around--we stayed for two whole hours. That week I didn't end up visiting my old friends, but I had fun anyway!!! ;D"Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17737850469599690266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5685296462146192712.post-36693020999048386002013-04-21T16:25:34.868-07:002013-04-21T16:25:34.868-07:00When I went to see the Hunger Games movie, I had b...When I went to see the Hunger Games movie, I had been impatiently waiting for weeks. I was so excited. After the end, while I had loved it and laughed, cried, jumped, etc. I was frustrated about what they hadn't shown. (Madge, the real color of the cat, etc.) I wish they could make a movie exactly like the book.keenatoadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17534778394322281918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5685296462146192712.post-4239142060685189412013-04-20T23:50:23.961-07:002013-04-20T23:50:23.961-07:00When I was in grade school me and my cousins all w...When I was in grade school me and my cousins all went to my aunts house after school and hung out for a few hours. One day we decided it would be a good idea to catch all the wolf spiders and make a habitat for them. We stuffed a water bottle full of grass and twigs thinking that surely that's what these spiders fed on. Then one by one we fearlessly stuffed the red eyed creatures into the bottle along with two 'egg sacks' full of baby spiders we would hoped would hatch. All was well that day and we watched them crawl around and were proud of our craftmanship. Then we set our bottle of spiders with the lid capped and a small hole in the top under the deck stairs and headed home. The next day after school we went to see how our spiders were and if maybe the egg sacks had hatched in their new home. We were shocked to find only one spider remained, eyes gleaming almost redder than the missing spiders. We diligently checked for any holes or cracks and the the verdict came from my youngest cousin... HE (the last spider) had EATEN them. You see this is the first time we has ever heard of such cannablism in any animal kingdom. My guy cousin was totally pumped that this had happened whilst us girls could only stare in horror at the tiny baby spider murder. Us girls wanted justice. We thought about the options. Squishing, drowning, or a good shaking brought us down to his level in our elementary school minds. So instead we decided to jail him FOREVER. The jail turned out to be a giant spider paradise. The spiders strawberry flat was filled with all of the stuff from his original home as well as a few smallish bugs for him to eat. That day when I left I decided to forgive that little scary bug but alas my forgiveness came to late. The next day we went to go check on him. This time though we had forgotten to put the plastic container in the shade. The spider was still there, mostly. shriveled and gross looking we were all at a loss for words except for my girl cousin who simply stated 'oops'. The funeral was small and exclusive but many spiders were remembered that day. We definitely had not planned for so many spiders lives to end at our hands and the outcome was definetly the worst. Buf we learned a valuable lesson in that experience; don't mess with Mother Nature or her creepy red eyed creations.
