Do you ever wish you could meet the characters in a book you were reading? Just sink right into the story, or maybe have it pop out of the page? In this week's book is Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer, a girl gets to do just that.
Told in their separate voices, sixteen-year-old Prince Oliver, who wants
to break free of his fairy tale existence, and fifteen-year-old
Delilah, a loner obsessed with Prince Oliver and the book in which he
exists, work together to seek his freedom.
For a chance to win this book, tell me what character from a book you would like to meet, why you want to meet them, and what you would do or say.
Winner
will be selected with Random Number Generator on Thursday September 6, 2012. Be sure
to leave a
name with your entry, and check back to see if you won. To win you must
be a teen (6th-12th grade, or 12-18) who uses a Sno-Isle Library.

I'd want to meet Katsa from Graceling because she's so strong and fierce. I'd ask her to teach me how to fight because, at the end of the book, it says that she's going to travel and teach girls how to defend themselves.
Goodness, what a difficult question. I want to meet everyone! Hmm since I have to choose I'll have to go with a recent favorite, the bestest thief in the world, Eli Monpress. I'd want to meet Eli cause the most recent book in the series ended on such a shock, that I just want to meet him and love him forever. If I actually got to meet Eli I would first hug him, then slap him then hug him again. As for what I'd say to him, geez, since I imagine him as Tom Hiddleston, I'd just ask him to recite all his first rules of thievery. And then we'd go on a heist together, and it would be beautiful.
I agree with Ashley...there are too many characters I want to meet! I can't choose just one, but someone on my list would probably be Macey from Sarah Dessen's The Truth About Forever. In many ways, I relate to her more than most other characters I've read. I'd like to be able to have a conversation or two with her. I think we'd end up becoming very good friends.
I would want to meet Harry Potter, I have loved the Harry Potter series and I would get to meet his 3 adorable kids. If I got to meet him, after most likely fainting, I would ask him a bajillion questions and get a picture and signature. I don't think I would ever be able to stop bragging if I met Harry Potter.
Congrats to Noah who is our winner for the week! I'm sending Between the Lines on to the Marysville Library for you :)
