1. Never trust anyone. 2. Remember they are "always "searching. 3. Dont get involved. 4. Keep your head down. 5. Dont fall in love. Five simple rules. Ariane Tucker has followed them since the night she escaped from the genetics lab where she was created, the result of combining human and extraterrestrial DNA. Arianes survival--and that of her adoptive father--depends on her ability to blend in among the full-blooded humans, to hide in plain sight from those who seek to recover their lost (and expensive) "project." But when a cruel prank at school goes awry, it puts her in the path of Zane Bradshaw, the police chiefs son and someone who sees too much. Someone who really sees "her." After years of trying to be invisible, Ariane finds the attention frightening--and utterly intoxicating. Suddenly, nothing is simple anymore, especially not the rules.

A time that broke the rules was when I didn't do my chores first, like I was supposed to, because I was at a really good part in an awesome book. This has happened multiple times, actually. Whoops! ;)
I broke the rules when I had like five overdue library books and I couldn't find them!! Woopsies. Thankfully I found them and returned them as soon as I could ;)
Honestly I'm not that much of a rule breaker. But a rule that I break a lot is the "No eating food in my room" rule, which i break all the time. So... yeah i know that's not actually something dangerous or anything.
I'm a real rebel. The other day my mom told me I wasn't allowed to make cookies....but I did anyway. I know, hardcore.
I really have never broke any rules. I stay up later than my parents want me to, but that's pretty much it.
I broke a rule when I didn't do my reading (1hr.) for a day.
R#G picked Swimmer Star! Sending the book to you at the Mountlake Terrace Library...should be there by tomorrow afternoon :)
