This weekend's featured title is award-winning author A.S. King's newest book, Everybody Sees the Ants. I read this a few weeks ago, and can personally attest to the awesome level. It's high.
Lucky Linderman is anything but lucky. He's been plagued with bullies for years, and ever since Nader McMillan shoved his face into concrete at the public pool, he's been seeing ants. Not normal ants, but ants that dance and hold signs and yell commentary about whatever going on in Lucky's life. Especially when things get weird. Well, weirder.
To win this excellent novel, tell me in the comments what type of creature you'd hallucinate when in uncomfortable situations. Keep an eye on this blog next week to see if you won!*

I guess i dont really know...but mabye bees. Because whenever i am nervous or uncomfortable i turn red all over and it feels like a thousand stinging bees.
If I was to hallucinate about something then it would probably be some sort of bug and have to do with the situation. Like if I felt stepped on I would most likely think of a cockroach. If I felt that weight was on my shoulders then I would probably think about an ant! I all depnds on the situation!

In uncomfortable situations, the creature I would most likely hallucinate about would be a unicorn because you always see the unreal whenever you lose consciousness, and a unicorn is magical and a picture in my imagination. The reality is that I would probably see stars and pass out, but if I were to see a creature, it would be a unicorn.
If I hallucinated a creature it would be a shark. I think I would hallucinate a shark because I am always having dreams about them, so they are already appearing in my unconsious.
Well, I wouldn't want to hallucinate ants, for sure. Ants creep me out...that would only make uncomfortable situations worse. Come to think of it, that's probably one of the things I WOULD hallucinate.
But when it comes to other animals/bugs that make me unconfortable, I would probably hallucinate earwigs. Gosh, I hate those things even more than ants! I'm always paranoid that they're crawling around. I see them (or ants) out of the corner of my eye every time I'm outside, whether they're there or not...I guess I already hallucinate them, huh?
Guys, I'm loving your answers SO MUCH!

If I was in a uncomfortable situation and if i was hallucinating the creature i would probably see would be a centipede. Centipedes may be small but they are creepy and they have so many legs. Centipedes have so many small little legs and they make me uncomfortable just thinking about them.
I thought of it! So once i was in the hospital because i had gotten really sick right? And i was told though i dont remember this...that i kept talking about the snakes that were crawling all over the floor. Of course they werent really there... but i guess i hate snakes so much that in that situation i hallucinated them.
These are awesome answers, and the whole contest totally made me want to read the book now!
