I generally think that I'm fairly immune to scroll-decorated covers with girls in pretty dresses at this point, but Illuminate by Aimee Agresti sounds pretty good. Add to that the fact that the normally brutal Kirkus reviewers have this to say about it: "It may be a debut, but from the first paragraph readers will feel they are in the hands of a confident, professional writer. Though lengthy, the plot wastes no space...Smart, well-crafted and sophisticated; without a doubt, this belongs on the top of the stack of the current crop of angel books. More, please!" So I suppose I should give this 500+ page behemoth a chance. Just for you, though. ;)

Trailer Tuesday: Illuminate by Aimee Agresti
