This week's book is a perfect back to school story, or rather a story about starting public/high school for the first time. In Friends With Boys by Faith Erin Hicks Maggie is in for some culture shock:After an idyllic childhood of homeschooling with her mother and three older brothers, Maggie enrolls in public high school, where interacting with her peers is complicated by the melancholy ghost that has followed her throughout her entire life.

I will never forget starting a charter school in third grade because everyone wore uniforms. I go to public school now and I am glad I don't have to wear uniforms.
My home library is the Mill Creek library.
