Britney Meets Hunger Games?
Ok, this is totally ridiculous, but it really cheered me up and I thought it might make you smile too:
What is the funniest video you've seen lately? Bonus points if it is book related (however vaguely).

First Look at Katniss!
I still think she's a little too old, but man, what a little hair dye and costume does! What do you all think?

The Hunger Games Movie has a Katniss!
What do you think? Relief? Travesty?
I'll admit I was hoping for Hailee Steinfeld, as I think that Jennifer Lawrence, at 20, is too old to play Katniss for the many years it will take to complete the trilogy. But maybe when I see Winter's Bone (the movie that propelled her to the Oscar nomination) I'll change my mind.
The Wrap also mentions that Alex Pettyfer is rumored to be the first choice for the role of Peeta. I haven't heard any rumors for casting Gale, have you?
Sound off in the comments, and one of you will win DROUGHT by Pam Bachorz.
You have until midnight on Sunday, March 20th to comment, and only those ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12, who can pick up the prize at a Sno-Isle Library are eligible to win.

Hunger Games Audition Video
According to the description on YouTube, this is an audition video for the girls playing Katniss & Rue. It's pretty awesome.
Note, this is the Hunger Games, so it's violent. There's even some spurting blood, so if you're averse to such things, skip the video.

Let me know what you think in comments! Should Danielle Churchran play Katniss? If not, who do you think should?
You have until midnight on December 12th to enter!
Random comment will win a copy of HUNGER by Jackie Morse Kessler.
Tagline: "Lisabeth Lewis has a black steed, a set of scales, and a new job: she’s been appointed Famine...one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse."
Only students in grades 6-12 who can pick their winnings up at one of the 21 Sno-Isle Libraries are eligible to win.
**Don't forget to enter the Darren Shan giveaway, too!

MOCKINGJAY Trailer!
I can't believe we haven't posted this!!!
Place your hold on Mockingjay now! The book is released on August 24th, and I'm hoping I'll be able to find it in the airport bookstore - 'cause I CANNOT wait until after my vacation to read it!
In the meantime, what do you think will happen in Mockingjay? Will Katniss prevail against the Capitol? Is Peeta alive? If he is, will Katniss end up with Gale or Peeta?
Tell us what you think will happen in the comments, and we'll choose one random winner who will receive a hardcover copy of The Chronicles of Nick: Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon (which currently has 64 holds!).
The Chronicles of Nick: Infinity
"Streetwise, tough, and savvy, Nick and his quick sarcasm are the stuff of legend... until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity. With his fellow students turning into flesh-eating zombies, how can he stop them... without getting grounded by his mom?"
The lucky winner will be announced on Friday, August 13th, so you have until midnight on Thusday, August 12th to share your predictions!
