National Read a Book Day

Did you know that today is National Read a Book Day? I just learned that this morning. So my question to you is - what are you reading? Something just for fun? Something you've been assigned for school?

I'm currently reading (and thoroughly enjoying) The Iron Thorn by Caitlin Kittredge.

"In an alternate 1950s, mechanically gifted fifteen-year-old Aoife Grayson, whose family has a history of going mad at sixteen, must leave the totalitarian city of Lovecraft and venture into the world of magic to solve the mystery of her brother's disappearance and the mysteries surrounding her father and the Land of Thorn. "

I highly recommend it!

What a fantastic day!
I'm reading The Spirit Eater. The third book in the series called The Legends of Eli Monpress. About the greatest thief in the world who wants to get his bounty up to 1 million dollars.
Truly amazing series.

Hmm...I tried the Iron Thorn once and didn't like it so much, but I'll give it another try.
Right now, I'm reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling.

I've been reading The Night Circus, which is just coming out this month. So far it is one of the most magical and enthralling things I've read in a while :D
