Printz vs. Mock Printz

Everyone has heard of the Newbery Award, but not everyone realizes there is a similar award for teen books called the Michael L. Printz Award.

Last week we had a Mock Printz event at the Mukilteo Library, where we discussed 10 great books trying to guess which might be the winner. After a lively discussion, these were our results:

Winner: Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi (22 points)

Honor Books:

A Conspiracy of Kings (7 points) and

They Called Themselves the K.K.K.: The Birth of an American Terrorist Group (13 points)
