Featured Teen Book Review of the Week: The Girl is Murder

The Girl is Murder by Kathryn Miller Haines

4 stars.

Describe the book: Iris' dad was injured at Pearl Harbor and her mother committed suicide just days before he came home. Now having a home in the Lower East Side and going to public school is her life. When a boy from her school disapears, and her father is put on the case, she decides she has to help, but not with her father's permission.

What did you think: This book was amazing! I really love watching crime shows and the way the author incorporated some of a detective's work into the book was cool. Iris and I are kind of alike because I would probably try to solve the case like her. My favorite part was when Iris, Suze, and the Rainbows went to Savoy.

Who would you recommend it to: Mystery and Detective Lovers
