I would want to be a Kitsune. In Japanese folklore the Kitsune is an intelligent and magical being. The creature’s strength increases with age, wisdom, and life experience. Kitsune is a Japanese fox. They have the ability to assume human form. They are noted for having as many as nine tails. A kitsune may take human form when it reaches a certain age, usually 100 years. They prefer to assume the shape of a beautiful woman, young girl, or elderly man. The creatures have the ability to clone the appearance of an individual. Kitsune have a fear and hatred of dogs. They can willingly manifest themselves in people’s dreams and create illusions so elaborate that they are perceived as reality. The kitsune can fly, become invisible, and often times generate fire or lightning. In some regions of the world the creatures can bend time, space, and drive people mad.

Doesnt that sound like fun?

I think that I would want to date a Warewolf. Why? Well... They are much cooler than vampires and they dont suck your blood, plus they are half human so they would look completely normal when it's not around a full moon.

Ah, man! I actually had Nightshade checked out for a while, but I didn't get the chance to finish it because I had a lot to do and had to return it...:( I'd love to finish it! It's really interesting so far.
But I digress.

Hmm...this is a pretty hard choice. Dating any supernatural creature is sure to have serious repercussions...or at least minor ones.
Dating a vampire would be awkward because he would probably burst into flames if I tried to take him to church...that would be somewhat awkward to explain to my pastor. Werewolves would shed all over the couch, and plus, I'm a cat person, so that rules that out...
Demons would provide yet another awkward explanation (Hey, Mom! My date was great; I told him to go to hell and he brought me with him!)
Angels...well, these guys would be okay with the whole church/parent situation (hey, what dad can say no to an angel?), but I'd probably be left feeling guilty all the time for not being as pure as an angel - -"
No way in heck I'm going to date a fey; those affairs always end badly, and besides, I think eating faerie fruit and being trapped in the Other Realms forever counts as breaking curfew.

BUT...I think a unicorn would be a perfect match! We never need to take a car, and he can fight off any of those other nasties with his horn! Plus, I'm accident-prone, so his healing horn would be awesome. Unicorn it is!

I wouldn't date a vampire or a werewolf (Too volatile), I wouldn't date a fairy (Too tricky) But I would date a different kind of shapshifter...one who can control when and what they transform into. I think it would just be amazing to go flying with a shapeshifter...and I would probably make them take me flying all the time. If there were no shapeshifters available, I'd probably go with a fallen angel, turned good, like Patch from Hush, Hush. Seriously, who wouldn't want a boyfriend like Patch?

I think any shapeshifter would be cool. I love animals, and it would be really cool, especially if they turned into a cat. Because cats are amazing, and smart/clever, which means they would be really smart. Plus, they would be all warm and snuggly and at night, you could chill with them as a kitty on your lap. =) Although I'm not sure they could as a "monster"...

I think I would want to date an angel because they are the most close to a real human. Shapeshifters would be awkward because sometimes they would be like a pet. That is why an angel would be best. (vampires and werewolfs are out to of question)

If I were to date a monster, it would probably be a Dragon. He would fly me everywhere (which would be awesome), and, naturally, would breath fire! Which would be totally great for the fourth of July, as well as winter, when I'd never get cold.
I wouldn't date the Grim Reaper because it would be annoying when we got older and he started murdering all my friends.
I wouldn't date a zombie because of the cravings-who wants a relationship with someone who would constantly be trying to eat your brains?
Likewise, Werewolves and Vampires would force me to be on the constant defense against being eaten, mauled, or drained of all my blood. (As well as having to protect myself against all the team Edward/Jacob types.)

Jordan Family is our winner this week! While Random Number Generator picked the winner, I also appreciated her awesome answer. Actually, I LOVED everyone's answers.

Me, I'd want Grover as my monster boyfriend ;)
